Our classic Sun Fizz 40 is constantly updated. This: combined with her performance as a cruiser racer: provides a memorable sailing experience with all the latest equipment. For 2022 Disk Drives rolling improvements have continued with the addition of a powerful 1000 w Lofrans Caymen electric windless making recovery of the anchor and up to 60 meters of 10 mm chain a breeze. This combined with the major investment last season including a new Volvo D2-50 engine:  Torqeedo 1103 travel electric outboard makes Disk Drive a good choice for performance cruiser sailing. The Sun Fizz 40 offers performance and superb handling under sail and power combined with a very versatile family friendly layout. The large new spray hood provides excellent shelter for the cockpit but is lowered easily by its quick release buckles. Disk Drive is coded for 6 with a spacious versatile layout which offers a very flexible combination of sleeping berths with ample storage bins and lockers.  Accommodation comprises of 3 double cabins: plus a double and single or two separate single berths in the main saloon with 2 heads: one with shower which can be en-suite to the fore cabin. Based in Largs Yacht Haven and equipped with fully programmable Eberspacher D5WSC hydronic  hot water and heating system which provides direct heating to the saloon: forward heads and forward cabin. Disk Drive is ideal for early and late season sailing in the sheltered waters of the Clyde. Hot water is also provided from the engine and shore power. Wheel steering with full hydraulic auto pilot and a 50hp Volvo D2-50  diesel engine provides ease of handling under both sail and power. A full range of instruments including Garmin 750 chartplotter at the helm and NMEA 2000 speed and depth instruments on deck repeated below at the navigator’s station and on the chartplotter. A full Android 10” tablet is installed in nav station with Navionics full chart folio for the UK and Ireland at the large comfortable typical Jeanneau style navigators station enabling passage planning and tidal calculations with ease. Roller reefing genoa slab reefing mainsail with lines led aft and lazy bag. Anchor Windlass with 60 metres of marked coded chain. A davit mounted 2.6 metre tender completes the topside equipment. Below decks there is a fully equipped L shape galley with upgraded Weaco low power consumption refrigerated cool box. The galley which is fitted with an extractor: comes with such items as a steamer allowing best use of the available hob space. The large saloon and table provides seating and dining for 6 in comfort. Other below decks equipment includes a Sony MEX-N4200BT CD radio with switchable cockpit speakers and two Bluetooth channels to stream your own music direct from your phones and tablets. An Inverter fed 240 volt: 12 volt and USB laptop/tablet/mobile phone charging points are provided.
