Vessel Description
Over the past few years Calico Moon has undergone a rolling program of improvements and upgrades including new mainsail: genoa: sprayhood: extra large 3.2m inflatable tender: cockpit chart plotter: AIS: bluetooth stereo including dab radio: saildrive and rope-cutter: plus a full refresh of her upholstery. Having been built with Bavaria’s extra-cost deep lead keel option: she does sail rather well! Plus: with her powerful bow thruster and and extra-cost 75hp engine option: she goes rather well under power: too! Note: Calico Moon is a sister ship to Deep Blue: our other Bavaria 46 Cruiser. With two of these beautiful yachts: we can now offer the option to charter them as a pair: which is ideal for larger and/or corporate charter parties. Note: Calico Moon is a sister ship to Deep Blue : our other Bavaria 46 Cruiser. With two of these beautiful yachts: we can now offer the option to charter them as a pair: which is ideal for larger and/or corporate charter parties. This Bavaria 46 has a super cruising layout with four generously sized sleeping cabins - 2 large double cabins aft: an even larger double cabin forward: plus a decently-sized twin bunk cabin to port. To sleep even more: the dining area in the saloon converts if needed: into a further double bunk. Two generously sized heads/showers: a good sized chart table and a well-equipped & spacious linear galley: complete the interior. With electric windlass: powerful 75hp engine: bow thruster: new furling headsail and new main: and all sail controls led aft to her large secure cockpit: she’s as easily handled by a smaller crew as she is comfortable with a larger group. Her large and secure cockpit is well protected with a generously sized sprayhood. She is a great yacht to charter the West Coast of Scotland. She carries full navigation and safety equipment including AIS: Navtex: EPIRB: radar: autopilot etc; and two GPS plotter displays and DSC VHF units: one of each at the helm and the chart table.
