Vessel Description
GOLDEN VANITY. If you are after a sailing holiday with family and friends on a traditional wooden boat then Golden Vanity is perfect. She was built in 1908 for a marine artist who used her to get out amongst the fishing fleets of the time to capture some of the last days of working sail. He also sailed with friends one of whom was Erskine Childers who wrote Riddle of the Sands. On deck she is as she was over 100 years ago. There is plenty of space to spread out and relax. You will be needed to help sail the boat though! Down below she has a cavernous saloon, a good sized heads, and a well equipped galley. The accommodation is arranged in 6 cosy bunks up forward, a comfy berth up above the saloon and two aft bunks for the skipper and mate. She can take up to 12. A better number would be 5 or 6 plus skipper and mate.
