‘Wings’is a centre-cockpit Moody 419, built by Marine Projects (Plymouth) in 1986.She is 42 feet long, with 2 generous double cabins, a bunk berth cabin (perfect for kids but big enough for adults too), a large and luxurious saloon, two heads, a shower, warm-air heating, hot & cold running water, and a fully functional galley. She can accommodate 8 people for day sailing, and 7 people for overnight trips (both including the skipper). A robust, spacious and comfortable cruising yacht, ‘Wings’ is equally suited to people who enjoy active and exhilarating sailing, those that love to cruise, and those who prefer to quietly meander around the beautiful Suffolk rivers and coastlines.‘Wings’ has a currentMarine Coastguard Agency’s (MCA) Category II Coding Certificate, which allows her to operate up to 60 miles offshore. She carries all of the life-saving equipment required underMCA regulations(including life-jackets which must be worn underway, an 8 man life-raft, distress flares and VHF radio). She has a powerful Beta 50 HP diesel engine to complement her full set of sails.
